- Calgary-HS
Calgary-HS is a Yahoo group (an Internet discussion group) for
home schoolers, and those considering home schooling, in the
Calgary area. You can ask any questions you have. This is a great
source of information on all aspects of home schooling, including
how to get started, dealing with school boards, selecting curriculums,
dealing with tough days, etc. etc., and you can even get emotional
support from fellow home schoolers who have been there. There
are also many activities organized by people in this group, including
field trips, BBQ's, park days in the spring/summer/fall, etc.
Calgary-hs also has a "Calendar" section where you
can keep track of events and activities planned on calgary-hs.
And, make sure you check out the "Links" section and
the "Files" sections, for much more great hs information.

- Alberta HS Parent
A group for homeschooling parents anywhere in Alberta. Because
home schooling regulations, and most home schooling school boards,

once with them. Their main site is: http://groups.yahoo.com.
Organizing Your E-mail: When using these
Internet groups, usually there are qute a few e-mail messges.
A great way to handle this is described here, on our webage,
How to Organize Large Amounts of
E-mail (For Microsoft Windows and Outlook Express Users).
The example shown is for Calgary-HS, but it will work for any
e-mail groups. Also, note that these instructions are only for
computers with Microsoft Windows. If you are not using Windows,
your local computer technician should be able to get your computer
to do the equivalent.
